Julie & Julia (12A)
Separated by time and space, this film tells the stories of Julia Child and Julie Powell - both of whom find salvation through cookery. Written and directed by Nora Ephron from both women's memoirs, the film parallels theirlives as Julia (Meryl Streep) searches for an enjoyable activity in post-war Paris while, in 2002, under-employed Julie (Amy Adams) is about to turn 30 with an unpublished novel and decides to cook her way through "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" in a year and to blog about it. They discover that with the right combination of passion, fearlessness and butter, anything is possible.
Tickets are £4.00 on the door, or £3.50 in advance from the Rookery Farm
