Parish Council AGM Meeting
Tattingstone Parish Council held their Annual Parish meeting on the 13th May and this was attended by over 50 parishioners. The Chairman Councillor Plumbly reported on a busy year for the Parish Council which has seen two new councillors join and one councillor rejoin the council.
The first stage of the long awaited children’s play equipment had been installed on the playing field and is being well used.
Norman Sanders has retired as editor of the Parish newsletter which he has done for the past fourteen years, this task has been taken over by Cllr. Chambers and Airavata Carroll. It is proposed that a new footpath is to be built from the Lemons Hill Car Park to the Village Sign. An Affordable Housing Scheme is being investigated and new litter and dog bins have been installed in the village. P.C.Gary Austin reported a reduction in the number of crimes in the year from 20 during 2008/9 to 12 during 2009/10.
The School Governors reported that the Primary School had once again received an outstanding Ofsted rating last June and was currently at full capacity with 84 pupils. The Village Hall representative reported that the village hall had been well used throughout the year and the most recent improvement had seen new windows and doors replaced. The meeting closed with a short talk by Wendy Hughes from Suffolk Acre who spoke about the Buzabout transport.Janet Ward, Parish Clerk.
