Carpet Bowls |
On Wednesday 20th April we held the second leg of our annual Cynthia Page Trophy away at Bentley. With three carpets down there were plenty of chances to bowl, a very good raffle and a very friendly fun evening was had by all. During the two evenings we managed to raise a total of £381.00 which will be sent to Papworth Hospital for the Cardiac Unit Fund. Thanks go to Derek Page for
running this event. We would like to say a big welcome three new club members, Sue Kerswell and Bob Self who both live in the village, also to Viven Grant who lives in Felixstowe.
On Wednesday 5th May we played a friendly match against Harkstead at home, again this was a good fun evening with plenty of bowling. We had light refreshments afterwards which made a very pleasant evening.
