On 17th June Andy Malcolm, Fundraiser for the Fishermen's Mission, serenaded us with sea shanties, accompanied by poems & stories, as he gave an entertaining insight into the work carried out by the Charity, which was established 130 years ago, in support of active and retired fishermen and their families.  On average 15 fishing boats are lost every year - a point to ponder when eating fish and chips. Our next meeting on Thursday, 15 July, at 7.30pm  includes a talk by Ann Day on the Ipswich Waterfront - all welcome.
