Tattingstone Tennis Club 2017

This is an update from the Club’s AGM on 24 May 2017.

Club Play  It was decided to try a different day for club play and Tuesday morning was suggested at 10.30am but we are open to any other time if it would be suitable.  We don’t play full sets as per normal play unless there are more people present.  Instead we play one game and keep moving round – this way everyone gets a game and no one sits out for too long.

New Members  As always any standard of play is welcome.  Even if you haven’t played at all come and give it a try – it’s surprising how you can improve!

Coaching  It was agreed at the AGM to offer the school free time once a week during this summer term.  This is in place of the free children’s coaching because it wasn’t possible to get a coach last year so it is unlikely to be any different this year.

Courts  The contractor came last year and corrected the problem with the colour coating of the further court, free of charge, so all looks well this year. Funds are gradually increasing so that we can be ready to pay for any maintenance which might be needed in the future.  This is besides the annual hedge cutting which comes out of the funds.

Village Fete  Most years recently the Club has had a Tombola stall at the village fete and would like to again this year on 9 September if someone can offer to help man the stall.
